Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

So yesterday was our biggest snow storm yet here in Utah for the season. I kind of liked it because it was the perfect excuse to miss work :) I just thought I would post a few pictures and little short clip of Dezzie playing in the snow. It was hilarious to watch her.

Here is her playing in the snow...

And here is after playing in the snow...

It was so funny! In case you can't tell what those pictures are all about, she has little snow balls that formed and stuck to her fur while she was out frolicking in the snow. They were impossible to pull off so we had to "sit" her down and blow dry them until they melted. It made her P.O.ed to the max ( I know super cool phrase right?) so of course, being the psychotic dog that she is, she started to growl and then all hell broke lose. The infamous chasing of the tail started and didn't end. I swear she is not all there in the head, but we still love her regardless of her disability.

And only 2 full days until we leave for good old sunny California. We are so excited to see our family and I am just DYING to see Elle. And of course, my other 2 adorable, adorable ADORABLE nieces. AND I was introduced to some awesome Indie Christmas music, so if you're interested...let me know :)

And I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with this house, but it's in Utah and thy set up their house to a light show every year. It's really amazing and a lot of fun to watch. Conryd and I went last year and again this year. If you wish to see more just check out their website which is holdman.com I believe. Or just search in google holman lindon,ut. Hope you enjoy it :)

It's the most wonderful time of the year

This Thanksgiving was my first Thanksgiving away from family :( It was kind of weird to not be with them, but I realized that I still was family, my new family. It was a little bit different than our "traditional" Thanksgiving but it had the same concept, food and family. We went over to Conryd's brothers house to eat and play Rock Band with my neices and nephews. My 8 year old niece, sadly, can kick my trash in Rock Band. I guess I'm just not coordinated enough.

Yes I know, we are a very picturesque couple :)

So that's basically what our Thanksgiving consisted of. It was a fun, loud, tiring day. All in all though, it was wonderful.

For those of you who don't know, Christmas is my FAVORITE time of the year. I really could care less about the presents...well sometimes, but I love love love love love decorating for Christmas and the feeling that Christmas brings. I was so excited, that I made Conryd help me decorate this past weekend. We decorated our tree and hung a garland over our fire place. It still needs a few more decorations, but I still need a few more days to convince Conryd it's okay to spend money on decorations because they are reusable every year. If anyone wants to donate money to me I wouldn't even be mad :) Here are 2 pictures of our first decorations of the season.

Happy Early Merry Christmas :)

Why my dad is awesome

I just wanted to wish my daddy a Happy (late) birthday on my blog. Don't worry I didn't forget yesterday, I just didn't post anything. So November 18 was my dad's something year birthday. I just thought I would honor him here by listing a few reasons why my dad is the greatest dad in the world...literally, no joke, he is!

THE LIST
1. Growing up I could convince my dad to give me anything as long as I made him cookie dough.
2. I'm pretty sure guys from the ward only wanted to hang out with me because my dad is hilarious and awesome.
3. You can ask ANYONE and they'll all say, "Bingham is the coolest guy ever."
4. He is the most down to earth person!
5. He is the most unselfish person, along with my mom. I think he's always put his kids before him. He would do anything for us.
6. As much as he hated, and made fun of cheerleading while I did it, he was at every competition to support me.
7. He's the funniest dad in the world.
8. He loves my mom more than anything...even more than he loves rice pudding :)
9. He could never ground me :) I guess I was just too perfect and sweet for him to ground or punish me. Okay well maybe he grounded me once...but I think it lasted about an hour.
10. He has the greatest stories, not sure if they're all true...but they are very entertaining and creative. He told the best bed time stories when I was younger.
11. We get along great and have always had a great relationship.

Anyways, I guess all I'm trying to get across is that I love my dad and he's great. We're excited to see you over Christmas! Wooohooo partay!

I've caved into the "TAG"

Okay so I'm way lazy with these tag things. Kendall tagged me last month and I never did it and Thobeka has tagged me, and I'm bored at work so I guess I'll complete it :)

The rules:
Link person who tagged you (not doing b/c I don't know how)
Tell about 6 Quirks of yours
Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same (not doing b/c I don't have 6 fellow bloggers)

a little something about me:

1. I HAVE to sleep with every door closed. Every night I always make sure our basement door is closed, our bedroom door is closed and our closets are closed. It's really hard for me to sleep when they're even just a crack open. I think i annoy Conryd about it because every night that he gets into bed without shutting the door, I make him get out of bed to shut it. But honestly, you think he would know by now! Just so you know how bad it is, I was up until 4:30 in the morning b/c we slept upstairs and kept the door open. I know I know, the smart answer would have been to shut it, but I didn't want to get out of bed because it was too cold, and I get scared to leave the bed once I'm in it late at night.

2. I'm a texture freak! Certain foods make me want to vomit because of the texture like any type of whipped cream or super gritty foods. Even objects and things make me cringe if they look weird and they really really irritate me. For example, the cement they use around most pools. the really hole-y one. Yeah I HATE IT! We have that in my parents backyard and it drives me crazy. I just want to like scratch it out and scream. Weird I know.

3. I've recently become a germ freak. I don't know if this is really a "quirky" thing about me, but I have to pretty much wash my hands after I do ANYTHING. Even with Conryd, I make him wash hands all the time. For instance, over summer we had a major spider problem (one of my biggest fears by the way) and I'd always make conryd kill them. Even though he had a huge wad of toilet paper and didn't even touch it, i still made him wash his hands with soap water for just in casies.

4. I have to sleep with the bottom of my sheet tucked in under the mattress or else it drives me crazy because I'll end up kicking them off in my sleep.

5. I LOVE salt. I add salt to all of my foods. Even if its still pretty flavorful or salty I still add more. I think it's become more of a "have to do anyways" than a "it needs more flavor" thing.

6. While running at the gym, I have to run at a solid number time, and then I have to get my calories to end with a "5" or a "0" and my mile has to be at a solid # as well. So for example, if I'm running at 14:30 minutes and I want to stop, I won't until i hit 15:00 minutes flat and then if my calories are at 106 I have to keep going until i hit 110 and if I've only ran 1.62 I can't stop til I reach 1.7 miles. I know by the end it's all thrown off anyways, but it has to go in the order in order for me to stop. Not sure if that makes much sense but it does to me :)

Now I tag, but don't expect you to do it b/c
A. You've already done it or
B. you don't want to,
Bree, Carly, Becky, Jen, Chels, and I think that's it?

Part 2...

Two words...Whatever America! So as I'm sure you all are aware of our soon to be President. Whatever whatever whatever! Big disappointment but no use in crying over spilled milk right? All I can say is bravo CA for having somewhat of a brain! At least if McCain didn't win, the least that could happen is that Prop 8 would pass. Thank goodness it did! So I guess Conryd and I can move back to CA after all :) I was actually very surprised to see that it passed, seeing that CA is a "blue" state. Anyways, I guess I should turn my frown upside down and support our President to be. Gah! Only 4 years right? 8 at the most? As I said before...WHATEVER!!! But yay for Prop. 8! Thanks for your support Chels, Bree and Barbie on my last post. It was nice to hear that other people needed to vent as well and I wasn't the only angry person :)

OH yeah one last thing...did anyone else get super frustrated watching the election coverage? If I had to watch/see one more black reverend talk about Obama I was going to vomit. Who freaken cares if he's black. Which he's not. Bree thanks for mentioning this too in your comment. But honestly, he's half black, half white. And WHO CARES!!! I'm just scared to think that most of the votes were just because he's "Black." Whatever America...again.
Watch this video, it's pretty hilarious.

Election venting Part 1

I'm hoping there will be no need for a part 2 but I have been storing up waaaaay too much anger these past couple of weeks to keep it in any longer.
I am just in SHOCK at how many of my friends have no sense of moral values whatsoever. It's actually rather disappointing and frustrating. Leave it to facebook to inform me on everything, but i was reading all of my friends status updates and i would say about 90% of them are Pro Obama, NO on Prop. 4 and NO on Prop. 8. I can actually say that I am DISGUSTED with everyone that feels that way. Maybe digusted is a strong word but I am so angry right now that that word just suits the way i feel best. I can't believe how ridiculous some people are and how blinded they are. I just really hope in these next couple of hours that some of them can really see what and who they are voting for. If that candidate has strong moral values and can lead this country in the right direction. I can probably garuntee that we won't be moving back to CA ever if Prop 8 does not pass. Now most of you probably don't even care about my venting session right now, and i'm hoping that writing this out will calm me down and then i'll be able to delete this, but come on people. Honestly, where is your dignity? Your morals? Your head?! Ah Obama and everything he stands for just inflicts so much anger in me. Okay i think i'm done venting. Thanks for listening...or reading. Good day and Happy Voting.

Happy late Halloween

So I'll be honest, I think Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I hate scary things, especially things that pop out at me. My mom can testify to that and that I was scared of the ride Snow White at Disneyland my whole life because the witch pops out. I finally went on that for the first time just a couple of years ago, and come to find out, she doesn't even really pop out at you. Anyways, thats off topic. So for Halloween this year, earlier durning the week we carved pumpkins with Juanique and Tristin and then last night for Halloween we watched a SCARY movie. Have any of you heard of a movie called "The Strangers?" If not heres a short little summary of what it's about. It's based on some true events and is basically about this couple that's home and some "strangers" come knocking on their door at 4:00 am and terrorize them, stalk them, and try to kill them, and its just way creepy. I'll admit that I was freaked out the whole time we were watching the movie and even a little bit after. Before we watched it I suggested that we watch the ending first so that way I knew what to expect. I HATE being surprised and not knowing whats going to happen. So after we were done watching it and after I was done being freaked out, I realized that all that movie was, was just a longer version of the preview for it, plus the ending. So if you've seen previews for this, you've pretty much seen the whole movie, minus the fact of not knowing the ending. So the moral of this story is, if I can watch it and not be scared to death at the end, I think anyone could watch it.
What did everyone else do for Halloween? Pass out candy to the little children..or "churndin" as my parents would say. It was really weird, we probably only had about 5 groups of kids come by the house. I guess Provo families don't believe in Halloween or something. Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that Conryd prepared a very romantic dinner for me for when I got home from work yesterday. I walked downstairs and the lights were off and all of candles were lit (and we have A LOT of candles because i love them) And then there he was, standing over the stove, warming up curry from Bangkok Thailand :) It was so presh and sooooooooooo good. Anyways, I'll post some pictures of our awesome pumpkins.

If you couldn't tell what our pumpkins were, mine was a 2 story haunted house and Conryd's was some face that looked freaky when it was lite up. Note to self...never make a pumpkin with a million small cut outs, it sucks.

My "Martha Stewart" day...

This past weekend was our 6 month anniversary. I can't believe we've already been married half a year. Time just flies by. We're pretty much an old married couple now :) It was a great weekend. Well sort of, minus the fact that it was freezing...no literally freezing, it was a great weekend. We just stayed inside and ate pumpkin chocolate chip bread from Great Harvest, mmm my favorite!
I decided that this weekend was going to be my "arts and crafts" day. So I guess I have now officially fallen under the "mormon, married wife, that does arts and crafts and lives in utah." Ah, it's started. Now that it's beginning to get cold, too cold actually, I've decided that I wanted to make our apartment feel more Autumn like. So I was browsing around Martha Stewart's web page and found the perfect craft! It was simple, cute and SPARKLY! It was the perfect craft for me.

It might be kind of hard to see, but they are awesome okay :)
In other news, it was Elle's baby blessing this past sunday. I was kind of bummed that I couldn't make it out, but those gosh darn plane tickets are so flippin expensive. Sorry Bree, I really wish I could have been there :( Only 2 more months til Christmas...I can't believe Elle will be 5 months old when i see her! I am so excited for Christmas to come. It'll be so much fun to be family and be away from the snow! In case all of you super cool people that still live AWAY from Utah, it snowed here last Sunday. And it has been freezing ever since. It was kind of ridic (yes i said ridic, short for ridiculous) that it went from extreme heat to extreme cold. What the heck? What happened to my fall season? Sad day... well that's really all I have to update about. Love you guys

It's about time for an update

So I'm at work right now, and we're having some computer problems, so they've shut down the 2 programs that I ONLY work with, so now I have absolutely nothing to do for the next million hours...yes I said million. So I decided that this would be the perfect time to update my blog. Very exciting I know. And my boss just left for a "meeting" which really means he's out playing basketball, but hey, that's fiiiiine with me.

This past weekend my mom came up to Utah for the Ascend Gala, and has been up here for a couple of days now. Conryd and I were able to go to the Gala with her Friday night, and I guess you could say it was fun? I actually enjoyed it, except for the fact that it was 5 hours long, and I was sick. But it was fun to hang out with mom and see people spend ridiculous amounts of money like its nothing, but atleas they're spending it on charity right? So anyways, we went to Salt Lake for Gala at the Grand America Hotel. It was really nice and had a really pretty court yard. Below are few pictures from that. Nothing too exciting but i guess they're just "updated" photos.

Saturday mom came down to Provo to check out our sweet pad. And indeed...it was sweet. We then had a mommy daughter day and went to get a quick bit and then off for some shopping. Afterwards, Cecilia made us all dinner and it was delish. And then we went to Hello Yogurt for dessert (sooo good). Sunday was our primary program, and those are always enjoyable to watch, well atleast a little bit more enjoyable then other sacrament meetings. The little sunbeams and 5 year olds were by far the cutest. They reminded me of Bree because of the way they pronounced their "R's." So adorable! Mom and grandma and Carol came over to our place later that evening to hang out and what not. It was pretty fun to have them all there and to be with family. Anyways, my life is pretty boring. Nothing too exciting going on right now. But incase you all cared, i thought i would just update you on things. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the week.

avocado salsa...mmmm

So my mother-in-law has this recipe for this AMAZING salsa. It is my favorite thing to eat right now, I guess you could say I might be obsessed/addicted with it. It's pretty much all I've been craving. And its so quick and easy to make. I was telling Bree about it yesterday and told her I would send her the recipe but I decided to post it on here so I could share it with all 3 of my "blogging" friends :)

AVOCADO SALSA
2 cups of corn
1 can of black olives
1 cucumber
1-2 tomatoes
4-5 garlic cloves(pressed not chopped)
1 red bell pepper
1 onion
2-4 avocados
however much cilantro you want

Thats kind of like your base stuff, next you make the dressing/sauce/whatever you want to call it

1 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tbs. balsomic vinegar
1 1/2 tbs. apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt and pepper (add more if you would like)
1 tbs. dried oregano
1 squeezed lemon (optional)
Then you pour the dressing on top of your veggies and mix
Eat with tortilla chips (F.Y.I. Costco has these really yummy organic veggie chips)

You can add or take out whatever you would like. I personally can do without the red pepper and onion and I can always add more salt and cilantro. If you are trying to stay away from carbs, like the chips, its really good to eat by its self like a fresh salad. It really only takes about 15-20 mintues to prepare. But if you have one of those chop wizard things, it take a lot less time. Anyways, try it out, hope you enjoy it and fall in love with it like i did :)

Our Lake Powell trip

So this past week Conryd and I have been in Lake Powell. My sister-in-law and her husband invited us, along with their family, to stay with them on a house boat for week. It was AMAZING! Not only was it great to get away from work for week, I also got away from Provo...no offense to those of you who "like" provo. It was a really fun week, I will admit i was a bit nervous to go just because i had never done any type of boating activities since i was about 6, and that ended quickly because my brother and sister thought it would be "fun"to scare their little sister by telling her (me) that if you hit a warm spot in the lake it's a dead body and they pull you under and drown you..thanks a lot bree and casey. But now that i am much older, i've come to realize that that is not true! Luckily Tristin (My sister-in-laws hubby) and his family don' wakeboard, which i've heard is really hard and extremely painful if you fall, they wake surf which is really fun. I had never heard of that until this trip, and its awesome. I was able to get up within my first couple of tries. It was kind of difficult to understand what to do, but i think i sort of, kind of, got the hang of it. I was definitely no where near as close to being as good as Conryd and everyone else, but none the less, i still had a blast attempting. A couple days into the trip, Conryd was wake surfing and split his lip open. The board back fired at him and sliced his bottom lip open and his top teeth came down onto his bottom lip as well, splitting open the inside of his lip. Sadly, i have not been able to kiss him since :( sad i know. Well below are a couple of pictures and movie clips of our trip. Its been awhile since i've updated this thing. Enjoy! oh yeah and my wipe out looked a lot more worse in video than it actually was.

New Niece!!!!

Yesterday, July 30, Elle Marie Erickson was born. She weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 1 oz! Way to go Bree :) She is just so adorable and too cute for words. I was able to skype with them last night for a little bit. Now I'm not quite sure as to who she looks more like? I know that she definitely has Bree's nose, but as for the rest of her face, at times she looks like lance and at other times she looks like bree...i guess she is just a complete mix of them both. I am very jealous of my mom though because she gets to spend 2 weeks in texas with them. And i have no idea when i'll get to see them next. Flight tickets are so dang expensive! I am really hoping to make it out for their baby blessing...so uh ehem mother, if you wouldn't mind dropping some cash on a plane ticket for me, i wouldn't even be mad :) Congratulations Bree and Lance, I couldn't be happier for you. Well here are some pictures that i stole from Lance...

this what i get to do while i'm at work

1. What is his name? Conryd Peter Salvesen
2. Who eats more? Uh…that would have to be Conryd.
3. Who said I love you first? He did. He almost let it slip out when we were first dating, but he tried to brush it off like nothing happened and I think he just quickly turned it into like “oh I love... hanging out with you” or something like that. To be honest, I don’t remember him saying it, but I wish I did :)
4. Who is taller? He is, he is 6’1 and I am only 5’3. I get made fun of a lot in his family for being the shortest. Even my 15 year old niece is taller than me…
5. Who is smarter? I am duh! No, he is definitely. He’s the reason why I got an “A” in math :)
6. Who is more sensitive? Me, I think I’ve always been sensitive, maybe even too sensitive.
7.Who does the laundry? I do. I think the only time he’s done the laundry was last week, when we were packing for CA he stayed up with til 3 in the morning to do the laundry, and even woke up early to check it. He is so sweet.
8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you’re looking straight on to the bed he sleeps on the right.
9. Who pays the bills? We don’t really have bills, THANKGOODNESS! We only have our phone bill, and he pays for them.
10. Who cooks more? Cook? Ha uh, I guess I “cook” more. Right now we’re kind of eating raw foods, so no “cooking” for me, for now. But I can tell in the future that I’ll be doing the cooking.
11. What meals do you cook together? Dinner, in the mornings I just make smoothies for us, and for lunch I’m at work, so dinner is really the only meal we share together.
12. Who is more stubborn? We both are I guess? We’re really not stubborn people though. We’re both really laid back and usually don’t care, but in a good way of not caring…if that makes sense?
13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? Never been wrong before in my life. But then again, neither has Conryd.
14. Who has more siblings? Him, he has 2 half brothers and his younger sister who is my age. I only have Bree and Casey. He wins by one.
15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I do. I push him around and make him feel less of a man. Kidding, uh I guess he does? But only because I let him. I hate decision making, so if he wears the pants then hes required to make every decision.
16. What do you like to do together? We like to eat, work out, sleep, watch a lot of movies, play on the Wii, go to Disneyland, go to the beach, and well pretty much just spending any time together is what we like best.
17. Who eats more sweets? Hmmm…that’s tough. I’d have to say we’re probably equal. I have a bad habit for wanting sweets. I’d say I want them more than he does, but we’ll probably eat the same amount.
18. Guilty pleasures? Salt and vinegar chips, gummi bears, those dang chocolate chip cookies, sleeping into til 12 (which I haven’t been able to do in a very long time), pink berry, and that’s all I can think of.
19. How did you meet? We had a couple of classes together and saw each other from across the room. He had this friend named Roxy who was in our health class as well and I also thought at the time she was his girlfriend, but I ended up meeting her in the bathrooms at school while we were changing for health class, and so we started talking and found out that we also had math together and that Conryd was not her boyfriend. After class I went to talk to her to tell her I wasn’t going to go to math. And Conryd just so happened to be standing with her so I knew that was the perfect time to talk to her so I could talk to him. So after Roxy and I were done talking I then turned to Conryd and introduced myself and we had that awkward, first meeting, small talk stuff. We found out that we both were living in provo which was pretty cool. I remember that day after school, I thought to myself “wouldn’t that be awesome if I ran into Conryd some where here in Provo?” But I knew the chances of that happening were slim to none! But that next day, Friday night, I was at King Henry playing soccer outside with Ed and Conryd just so happened to be driving past with his friend and saw Ed’s big hair, and knew if Ed was there, I must be around as well. So he jumped out of the car (which was STILL moving) and came over. Ed noticed him and was like “Hey, isn’t that that south African guy?” so anyways, we ended up talking that whole night, and he pretty much ditched this other girl that he was suppose to be hanging out with to talk with me :) it was a long story, but I know you all were dying to know it!
20. Who asked who out first? Um well, I invited him to go to the tumbling gym with me and my friends, but I guess if that doesn’t really count as asking him out first, then he kind of asked me out by inviting himself over Sunday afternoon for quesadillas because “he was a starving African kid” and that my mom “would be so happy because I was doing my service by feeding an African.” It was cute, so how could I have possibly said no? But after that we hung out everyday and then had a reeeal date that weekend.
21. Who kissed who first? He kissed me first. It took him long enough! You would think that if we were hanging out til like 3 in the morning every night it would have happened quicker. I kept anticipating it but it never came ha!
22. Who proposed? He did. He wanted to make sure it was a complete surprise, and indeed it was. I’m pretty sure he lied to my face for like a month straight. And sadly, I did not catch on at all. It was perfect though. Best surprise and Christmas ever!
23. His best features? His accent of course! His eyes, his facial structure, his arms, his back, his legs, okay EVERYTHING is his best feature.
24. What is his greatest quality? I’d have to say how sweet he is. He is a very caring and hard working husband. I can honestly say he’s never done anything that has ever made me upset. Or if I am ever upset he’s always there to comfort me. He is just the most sweet and caring guy I have ever met. I love everything about him, and I can pretty much say he has no flaws, hes perfect :)
25. Tag? Well I only a few “blogging” friends…so Bree, Carly, and Chelsea, TAG!

4th of July weekend

So as you were all aware...or at least i hope you were aware ,that this past weekend was the 4th of July. This was my first 4th of July away from home and away from the parade :) it was awesome. Stadium of fire ( i had never heard of this before until this year) had Miley Cyrus and the Blue Man group performing, sadly we did not go see Miley (she is Conryd's idol...in a non pedifile way) not really though. So we ended up going to their family friends house to watch some fireworks and hear the distant singing of Hanna Montana.

To the left of me is our nephew and niece, Scott and Tayla. Crazy to think that I now have a nephew who is only 3 or 4 years younger than me! weird!

On Saturday we ended up hiking Mt. Timpanogas with Juanique and Tristin. It was a pretty quick hike but really steep. The caves were really interesting to walk through. I hate that when you get in there they tell you not to touch anything because it just made me want to touch everything! And I think I could honestly say that that was really my first hike ever! I can't say that i LOVED it but I don't think i hated it? I did hate it the next day though...ouch. here are a couple of pictures of this hike to prove that i actually did it :)

After the hike we headed back to Juan and Tristin's house to go swimming, eat some pizza, and watch Be Kind Rewind. It was a pretty full, tiring, fun, weekend.
Tomorrow Conryd and I leave for Valencia, and I know that I am way excited to be back in California and see my family. And it will also be nice to get away from work, even though my job is way relaxed and way awesome...working everyday is hard to get used to when before that you didnt have to work one day :) But I know Kristina will probably end up reading this so i will say this, I miss working so much! It's so much fun, I wish it would never end :) Anyways, so we're pretty much going to have a relaxed weekend back home, hopefully go to the beach once or twice, lay out by the pool, get some in n out and stone fire, and see my nieces! Oh and to Bree and Kelli, i will set up my voicemail whenever i feel like it okay! get off my back! kidding, i've tried setting it up and i just cant figure it out. And i'm too lazy to call to fix it. Well that is pretty much my week. Pretty exciting stuff i know! Oh and i know i said this sort of in my last post, but i cant believe Bree is going to have her baby THIS MONTH! crazy! so excited though!

weekly update

So the weekend just passed and that's always depressing. It was a pretty fun weekend, we went to a BYU improv show that my co-worker Kristina was in, and it was pretty funny, it gave us some good laughs. She was crazy in it :) we loved it! Afterwards we ended up watching a movie with Juanique and her husband Tristin... we watched Forbidden Kingdom and it was probably one of THEE lamest movies i've ever seen. But i could have called that before we even started watching it. Saturday was pretty uneventful...i think? i honestly think i have the worst memory ever! it's so hard for me to remember what i did 2 days ago!

On saturday i ended up buying a new pair of running shoes which hopefully will motivate me to work out more. Later that night we went bowling with Juanique and Tristin, which was pretty fun. The last time Conryd and i went bowling was for our 2nd date...awh what precious memories! We then went to Sonic to get a shake but they were out of peanut butter! BIG disappointment :(

Conryd's uncle and aunt came into to town from South Africa this weekend and Errol and Cecilia (the in-laws) have a pretty busy schedule planned out for them. They're going out to California sometime next week and are going to Disneyland and Universal Studios around the 9th, so Conryd and I decided that we would take a trip to California at the same time. So we will be flying out to CA on the 9th of this month and will be there til the 15th! i am so excited!!! i am excited to just lay out by the pool and get my tan back! i am also, of course, excited to see my mom and dad, and casey and carly and the kids.

On a health update, Carly got me completed addicted to those cookies, so i ended up baking more on sunday and eating pretty much all of them because starting monday (yesterday) Conryd and I decided that we're going to eat bunny food, aka fruits and veggies, only. Its tough, seeing as how carbs are pretty much FAVORITE things to eat. So who knows how long i'll last?

Oh yes, and one last thing, Bree will be having her baby sometime this month!!! i can't believe she's already so close to becoming a mommy! i am so excited for her! she definitely deserves a gold medal for everything she's been through. She is such a strong, amazing, person! i dont even think she knows how much i look up to her! She's a great example and role model to me. Love you bree!!! oh except we're fighting..you never returned my phone call on saturday...ouch!

Anybody have any exciting plans for the 4th of july? this will be my first 4th of july away from home and away from that STUPID SCV parade! ugh that is one thing i will NOT miss. I hated being woken up at 7 in the morning to screaming kids and those stupid blow horns! although, i have a feeling i'll be stuck going to the provo city parade...blah! anywho! good night

cookie recipe just for kristina :)

WARNING: THESE ARE ADDICTING

Chocolate Chip Cookies

From the Daily Bite blog

½ c. butter
½ c. high-quality tub margarine (like Smart Balance)
¾ c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour (I used around 2 3/4 cups of flour instead IF i didn't use the 1/2 cup margarine and just used a cup of butter. )
¾ tsp. salt
¾ tsp. baking soda
1 12-oz. bag chocolate chips

Cream together butter, margarine, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture and beat well. Stir in chocolate chips. Doesn't your heart just skip a beat? Is it sad that mine does?

Drop onto cookie sheet by tablespoon.

You should get 12 cookies per cookie sheet

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned. Naturally, you want to keep an eye on them because every oven is different. Makes about 4 dozen.

Allow to cool for a few minutes on the pan and then transfer to a wire cooling rack.

okay okay okay!

okay bree this is for you. This past weekend i went to go get a pedicure (one of my all time favorite things to do) and i was really cautious on where to go because i'm really picky! i only like megan from the nail forum and dont trust anyone else! reason being... i get ripped off! well i asked for rhinestones...six little itty bitty, rhinestones and what do they charge me? 9 freaken bucks! rip off! note to self: do not get a pedicure at university mall. but afterwards i got a massage from my sister-in-law who is going to massage therapy. it was so relaxing! its awesome to know that i dont have to spend $110 dollars now to get a massage. thank you juanique! besides that, my weekend was pretty uneventful. Conryd and I were called to primary this sunday, Conryd thinks its the churchs "birth control" plan. He could be right :) Oh yes, one thing i forgot to mention about this past weekend was that i baked some chocolate chip cookies, and well, thanks to carly my hubby and i are completely addicted to the cookie recipe i stole from Carly's blog. We (also his family) finished 4 dozen cookies in less than 2 days! and i'm still craving more! our apartment is still in renovation mode...who knows how much longer it will be?! we've given up on cleaning the place because it seems like every time we clean it, it just becomes dusty (From the remodeling) 2 seconds later. so we quit! We took our dog, Dezzi, to the groomers today and here are some pictures of her now. We had her cut short, but didnt know she'd end up looking like a drowned rat! everything on her body is so unproportioned (spelling, not even sure if thats a real word). but she was the runt of the pack, her heads too big for her body, her legs are too short for her torso, her eyes are too big for her face and her tongue is too long for her mouth. anyways, this is her now

So yep, thats our dog! shes sometimes smart but mainly dumb as dirt. we love her...sometimes! well thats all i want to blog about. Love you all, miss you bree! good night
