School photo shoot

A few weeks ago our school gave us an opprotunity to do a photo shoot to help us build our profile. Well, I opted out of doing it, but my friend Lori decided to fork out the "big bucks" and do it. She used me as her model and she did a great job on my hair and make-up. I was kind of hesitant at the make-up part because I've had other people "attempt" to do my make-up and it just looked beyond horrible. But she did an awesome job! I was able to steal some of the pictures from her and post them on here. Here's a few pictures from our photo shoot day.

In other updated news, I only have about 10 more months of school, that is as long as I don't miss that much more school...The hubby just started school again, so that means late night study sessions for the next FOREVER months!
There's been a huge fire down in Southern Utah, which is making me feel right at home in CA. Huge smoke covers have covered the valley so that brings back some fond memories of summer fires back home.
Labor Day weekend is coming up which will be awesome because that means 3 day weekend! But for me, it'll actually end up being a 4 day weekend b/c we're closed for the 8th of Sept. b/c we're having a special guest come into to Paul Mitchell, and only those who have sold 15 of our bag deals get to go. And well, I have sold none, so I get to stay home and sleep in instead :)
Nothing else is really going on. Just the same old same old. Sorry I don't have much to write about, but I hope you enjoy the few pictures that I have.
Peace, love and happiness

My trip to Texas

Okay, so I was FINALLY able to upload my pictures from my trip out to Texas to visit my sister. It was such a blast to hang out with her and spend time with my cute little niece Elle. It's not very often that I get to spend time with them because they live so flippin far away. So it was a real treat to go out and see her (yes I really did just use that phrase.) Anyways, we spent our days shopping, eating, and preparing for the biggest princess party ever! We stayed up until 2am decorating for my niece's 1st birthday. It was probably the cutest birthday party ever. And of course, the theme was Pink! And Elle looked so adorable in her little outfit that her momma picked out for her.
Elle is such a little character! I had so much fun getting to know her and play with her. If I could, I would have stolen her and taken her home with me. She has great parents too! Lance...props to you! You are so patient being the only man of the house and taking such great care of my sister and niece. Bree, you're an amazing mom. I don't know how you still have energy at the end of the day. I can't wait until we meet again...(church hymn just popped into my head)
So here's a few pictures from my weekend spent in the big state of Texas.

And well, as much fun as I did have with my family, I was quite happy to get back home to my man.

Fresh Strawberry Lemonade

Sorry, I have nothing exciting to blog about except for my most favorite drink ever, STRAWBERRY LEMONADE. And I just happen to have have the most amazing recipe for the world's best S.L. (that's shorthand for strawberry lemonade) I wish I could take credit for this wonderful creation but I must give all the credit to my old Young Woman's leader, Sister Rich. Although, I may have changed one thing in it but it's nothing drastic. The only difference between my way of doing it and Sister Rich's way is, that instead of using white sugar, I use raw brown sugar. Anyways, enough chit chat. Now for the good stuff on how to make this amazing drink!

Strawberry Lemonade

2lbs of fresh strawberries (for me, in our Vitamix blender, that's about 3/4 blender full)
1 1/2 - 2 cups fresh lemon juice
1 cup raw brown sugar
1 bottle sparkling water
1 cup water

Directions:
Slice strawberries and place in blender. Add 1/2 cup raw brown sugar. Pour lemon juice into blender. Make a "simple syrup." To do so, boil last 1/2 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water. Boil until sugar has dissolved. Let cool for 5-10 min. Add simple syrup to blender. Blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into a jug and add sparkling water. Stir with a large spoon. Chill for about 2 hours or serve over ice immediately because really, it's just too good to wait for.
F.Y.I. It will be very foamy at the top from the carbonation from the sparkling water.

MMMMM...I could go for some of this right about now.

OBSESSED!

I am so obsessed with this puppy...

Is he not the cutest thing you've ever seen?! He's seriously taken over my life for the past 3 days! He's all I think about, dream about, and obsess over! I'm so mad I found him because now I HAVE to have him :) I've been begging the hubbster to let him let me get him, but he says no :( And I understand because our living situation isn't ideal for another dog, but how can you say no to that face! I'm seriously obsessed with this pup and I want him! Ha sadly, it's really hard for me accept the fact that the hubby said "NO!" because I've pretty much always gotten what I want ha. I've never accepted that word...and I don't want to start now. So if everyone would like to pitch in ideas on how I can achieve this dream pup I would greatly appreciate that, although I'm pretty sure the hubby won't appreciate this post :)

And in the spirit of being puppy hungry, here a few more pictures of some cute cute cute puppies!

Cute huh?!

Special Olympics

So Bree got on my case about updating my blog, and since Conryd is at work (working on looking like this)

for the next hour and a half, I figured this would be the perfect time to update it.
So the hubby was FINALLY able to get a job and started about 3 weeks ago. He works 11 hours a day, 6 days a week. When we said he needed a job, boy did he get one! I'm so proud of all of his hard work that he puts into it. And he is so sweet, he went out in public looking like this to buy me flowers that I absolutely LOVED!! What a sweetheart he is. Gotta love that boy!
Updated news: Two weeks ago the Special Olympics was held here in Provo and our school was given the opportunity to go and do hair (updos and styling) for the event. I've always wanted to go and volunteer but never really got the information to do so, so when this came up, i made sure I was on the event team that went to do it. It was so fun! The athletes were so sweet. And since there was only a small group of 6 or 7 that went, it gave us a chance to get to know some more people at the school. I didn't take a lot of pictures, or any except for 1, b/c I'm too embarrassed to pull out my super ghetto camera and it doesn't help that batteries literally only last for like for 2 minutes but anyways, here's my only picture of the day

On the left is a girl named Joe, then Cam, Robyn, and myself.
So funny story about this girl Joe. After the Olympics were over and I went home, I had this random flash back of Joe, but she looked COMPLETELY different! I saw her with long brown hair, glasses, and wearing one of those long beach wrap arounds that used to be super popular. So I thought about it everyday for like a week and could not figure out where I knew her from. I thought maybe I met her in Hawaii like 10 years ago. So I ran into her at school and asked her if she had ever been and she said no. Well as I was driving home from school it hit me. She went to Ethiopia with our family 7 years ago, our first expediation ever. So I asked her if she had ever been and she said yes and then it hit her too that she recognized me and remembered. Anyways, long story, but I found it so random and really, how small is this world?! Crazy!
And in other news, it's been so stormy here! Look at what it's done in the past week...

Just kidding, that was from winter, of course. I'm just glad it's been raining and NOT doing that!
Lastly, I'm so excited because I'll be going to Texas at the end of July for MissE's 1st birthday! And I pretty much only have exactly one year left of school! Woohoo! Have a great weekend!

Happy 24th birthday!

How adorable is he! This is my hubby when he was probably like 3 maybe 4 years old? And now he my 24 year old husband! He's changed so much (obviously)! But I don't even recognize him in his baby picutres. Isn't he just a cutie though?! I think so :)
So in honor of his birthday I thought I would write a little bit about him.
For those of you who don't know my hubby, he is an AMAZING guy! He is honestly the sweetest guy in the world. He does so much for me and never complains about it. He's always willing to help out whenever it's needed. He's my best friend and I feel so lucky to have him for all eternity. I couldn't ask for a better man to have in my life. He is my other half and I love him to death and beyond. He can always make me laugh! He is so random (Just like me) and we can just talk and talk and talk without ever having one of those awkward silences. That's how I knew we were going to get married because we can just talk the night away. The first night we hung out, we talked from the time her come over at 12:00pm until the time he left, at 7:00 the next morning. Not even a little exaggeration, all we did was just talk the whole night/morning. We never had a silent moment. We connected so quickly and that's how I knew I had to have him, ha. He's always there for me no matter what. And he can put up with me and my random mood swings. That's how I know he truly loves me. He hasn't left me yet :)He's incredibly handsome and has the sexiest accent in the world. We laugh, we cry (well I cry), we play and love each other. He's the greatest husband in the world. Like I've said before, he is such a good helper. He'd do anything for me and I'd do anything for him. He's my Prince Charming and I can't wait to see where life takes us. I love you "dear"!
Then...a cute,little, innocent looking boy.

Now... an extremely good looking man.

Happy Birthday hubby! I'm so proud of all of your hard work that you put into school and soon to be work :)
Oh yeah that's right. The hubbster is now employed! Woo hoo! After a long month of searching, he finally got an interview and got the job! Congratulations. I love you!

Sisterly LOVE

So I haven't had to much to "blog" about lately because not has been going on, so I decided to do a little blog about my sister. For those of you who don't know her, she's AMAZING! Hands down my favorite sister :) She has become one of my best friends, but sadly, she lives so dang far away. She is a mother of one...unless you count her husband, a mother of two. Haha I'm so funny Lance! Just kidding, you're awesome too. Anyways, back to Big Sis. She is always there for me and I can tell her pretty much anything! She is beautiful inside and out. She is someone who I can look up to and hope to be like someday. She is hilarious, loving, tall :), a great listener, filled with great ideas, an amazing photographer, also a great decorator, caring, and nurturing (does that make you sound old??) I love you so much!I've loved being able to grow closer to you as we've both grown up. I know when we were younger we probably fought a lot, but I've learned to just blame all fights on Casey ha. And you were probably just jealous because I'm the favorite...right!? I love you B and miss you so much. And your daughter is gorgeous just like you! She is a little angel. I can't wait until we're both living back in CA laying out on the beach! Love you lots!
Sorry if this was way corny. Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you and miss you so much! And I also noticed that we have like zippo amounts of pictures together! What the?! Hope to fix that someday!
Can you believe this was almost 3 summers ago?!

It's like looking into a mirror. It blows my mind to see how much we look alike ;)

You're a wonderful wife...

A beautiful, fabulous, mother...

As I've said before, Love you B!
